Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Environmental Education is to identify available
environmental education resources to help Louisiana citizens make informed decisions and
take responsible actions for protecting, managing and enhancing our state's unique
environment.

representative, college/university faculty member, or interested citizen we applaud your
interest in environmental education and hope you will find this site resourceful.
Our purpose in creating this site is to have an informed
citizenry with the understanding and skills necessary to nurture our environment through
sound, responsible decision-making. We are striving to achieve a high quality
environmental education infrastructure in Louisiana that will enable our citizens to have
basic knowledge about environmental issues, programs, technology and natural resources.
