You might not know this, but there’s one king in our household, and that's our golden retriever, Bandit. He loves living in the Governor’s Mansion, and on any given day you might see him wandering around. Because he’s the king of our house, we decided to name a new reading challenge after him. Donna and I are proud to announce the first ever Bandit’s Book Challenge for elementary and middle school students across Louisiana.
As part of the program, you and your child will be encouraged to read at least 10 books at home. Children who meet the 10 book goal will be invited to a recognition ceremony so Donna and I can personally congratulate them on a job well done. While we won’t be able to make every ceremony, we’re going to do our best.
