Gov. John Bel Edwards signed a disaster relief executive order that suspends the regulatory procedures of vehicles, trucks, and loads during Tropical Storm Barry. Under Louisiana Revised Statue 29:721, certain restrictions will be waived for commercial motor carriers traveling on public highways for the purpose of emergency preparedness and disaster relief efforts. This order will be applicable through Friday, July 26, unless otherwise modified.
