Oct 01, 2012 BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced appointments to the Respiratory Care Advisory Committee. The Respiratory Care Advisory Committee serves to advise the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners on issues affecting applicants for licensure and regulation of respiratory therapy in the state. According to statute, the committee is comprised of ten members, subject to senate confirmation. Membership includes the following gubernatorial appointees:
Appointments to the Respiratory Care Advisory Committee: Sue Davis, of Denham Springs, is a respiratory therapist at LSUHSC/OLOL College. Davis will be reappointed to serve as a licensed respiratory therapist who was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Respiratory Therapy, as required by statute. Michael Nolan, of Baton Rouge, is the Chief Operating Officer for Promise Hospitals. Nolan will be appointed to serve as a licensed respiratory therapist who was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Respiratory Therapy, as required by statute. Adam North, of Baton Rouge, is the Manager for Respiratory Care at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. North will be appointed to serve as a licensed respiratory therapist who was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Respiratory Therapy, as required by statute. Diana Merendino, of Shreveport, is a program director for the Cardiopulmonary Science Program at LSUHSC. Merendino will be reappointed to serve as a licensed respiratory therapist who was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Respiratory Therapy, as required by statute. Raymond Pisani, of Berwick, is the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and Sleep Disorders Center at the Teche Regional Medical Center. Pisani will be reappointed to serve as a licensed respiratory therapist who was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Respiratory Therapy, as required by statute. ### |
