BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced reappointments to the Louisiana Naval War Memorial Commission.
The Louisiana Naval War Memorial Commission serves to control, maintain and exhibit the destroyer U.S.S. Kidd.
According to statute, the commission is composed of 17 members, including the secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism or their designee and the director of Veteran Affairs. The remaining 15 members are gubernatorial appointments, subject to Senate confirmation.
Reappointments to the Louisiana Naval War Memorial Commission:
Kyle Kennedy, of Baton Rouge, is a self-employed dentist. Kennedy will be reappointed to serve as a gubernatorial appointee, as required by statute.
Sherry Gomez, of Greenwell Springs, is self-employed in hospitality sales consulting and association management. Gomez will be reappointed to serve as a gubernatorial appointee, as required by statute.
