Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Brett H. Bennett to the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners

BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Brett H. Bennett to the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.

The Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners serves to regulate the practice of radiologic technologists by licensing qualified applicants.

According to statute, the board is composed of eleven members, subject to Senate confirmation. Membership includes the following gubernatorial appointees:
  • Four radiologic technologists selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists; 
  • Three hospital administrators selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Hospital Association; 
  • Three radiologists selected from a list of nine names submitted by the Louisiana State Medical Society; and 
  • One radiological physicist.  
Brett H. Bennett, of Calhoun, is the Department Head of Radiologic Technology at ULM. Bennett was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists, and will be appointed to serve as a registered radiologic technologist, as required by statue.
