BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the reappointment of Carl Bourgeois to the State Plumbing Board.
The State Plumbing Board serves to ensure the protection of the health, safety, environment and general welfare of those who use and rely upon plumbing systems for their personal and commercial needs.
According to statute, the board is comprised of eight gubernatorial appointments, subject to senate confirmation. One registered engineer and one plumbing inspector are selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana State Board of Health. Additionally, three master plumbers are selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Association of Plumbing- Heating-Cooling Contractors of Louisiana, and three journeymen plumbers are selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Pipe Trades Association.
Carl Bourgeois, of New Orleans, is the President of Al Bourgeois Plumbing & Heating. Bourgeois was nominated by the Louisiana Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors and will be reappointed to serve as a master plumber, as required by statue.
