Dec 28, 2012 BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced appointments to the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee. The Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee serves to make recommendations to the State Board of Medical Examiners regarding all issues relating to clinical laboratory personnel. According to statute, the committee is comprised of the following twelve gubernatorial appointees, subject to senate confirmation:
Appointments to the Louisiana Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee: Rhonda Givens, of Jackson, is the Laboratory Manager at the West Feliciana Parish Hospital. Rhonda was nominated by the Louisiana Hospital Association, and will be appointed to serve as a clinical laboratory scientist-generalist, who is employed in a supervisory or administrative capacity, as required by statue. Mary R. Muslow, of Shreveport, is the Assistant Professor and Medical Technology Coordinator at Louisiana Tech University. Muslow was nominated by the Louisiana State Society for Medical Technology and the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Association and will be reappointed to serve as a clinical laboratory scientist-specialist, as required by statute. Dana P. Grant, of Alexandria, is a clinical laboratory scientist at Rapides Regional Medical Center and is a member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. Grant will be reappointed to serve as a clinical laboratory scientist-generalist, not holding a degree above the baccalaureate level, as required by statue. George H. Roberts, of West Monroe, is the Dean of Health and Natural Sciences at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado, AR. Roberts will be appointed serve as a clinical laboratory scientist-generalist who has been actively engaged in clinical laboratory science education, as required by statute. ### |
