BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of David Butler to the Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute Board.
The Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute Board serves to govern the Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute which coordinates the training of municipal chiefs of police in Louisiana.
According to the statute, the board is comprised of five members including the executive director of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Criminal Justice. The remaining four members are gubernatorial appointments including three current municipal chiefs of police who are Peace Officer Standards and Training certified selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police and one current mayor selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Municipal Association.
David Butler, of Woodworth, is the Mayor of Woodworth. Mayor Butler will be appointed to serve as a mayor nominated by the Louisiana Municipal Association, as required by statute.
