BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced reappointments to the Fireman’s Supplemental Pay Board.

The Fireman’s Supplemental Pay Board is responsible for deciding questions of eligibility of firemen to receive supplemental pay out of state funds. 

According to statute, the board is comprised of the following five gubernatorial appointments, subject to Senate confirmation: 

Brien Ruiz, of Meraux, is the District Chief of the St. Bernard Parish Fire Department and is the District 7 Vice President of the Professional Firefighters Association. Ruiz will be reappointed to serve as a representative of the Professional Firefighters Association of Louisiana, as required by statute.

Ozias Price, Jr., of Alexandria, is the Assistant Chief of the Alexandria Fire Department. Price will be reappointed to serve as a representative of the Professional Firefighters Association of Louisiana, as required by statute.
