BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Billy Crawford to the Board of Commissioners for the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association.

The Board of Commissioners for the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association serves to regulate the 1,300 acre park’s operation and development. According to the New Orleans City Park Charter, the Governor appoints one member to the association. 

Billy Crawford, of New Orleans, is a retired educator and education consultant, who served as the Assistant Superintendent of the Louisiana State Department of Education. Crawford will be appointed to serve, by the Governor, as required by statue.
