Mar 09, 2013 BATON ROUGE- Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced reappointments to the White Lake Property Advisory Board. The White Lake Property Advisory Board serves to administer, control, and manage the White Lake Property, which is a conservation area encompassing more than 70,000 acres in Vermilion Parish. According to statute, the board is comprised of 16 members, including the secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the secretary of the Department of Natural Resources. The remaining 14 members are the following gubernatorial appointments, subject to senate confirmation:
Reappointments to the White Lake Property Advisory Board: Miriam Davey, of Baton Rouge, is a naturalist consultant and created, produces, and hosts a live public radio history talk show “Louisiana Wild” on WRKF FM 89.3. Davey will be reappointed to serve as a representative of the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, as required by statute. Richard “Marty” Guidry, of Baton Rouge, is a former scientist at E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co., Inc. and is also a former president of the Baton Rouge Audubon Society. Guidry will be reappointed to serve as a representative of the Louisiana Ornithological Society, as required by statute. ### |
