Mar 09, 2013 BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced reappointments to the Board of Commissioners for the Nineteenth Louisiana Levee District. The Board of Commissioners for the Nineteenth Louisiana Levee District is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the levees and maintaining the levee drainage system within Grant Parish. According to statute, the board is composed of three gubernatorial appointments selected from nominations by the legislative delegation from Grant Parish. Reappointments to the Nineteenth Louisiana Levee District: Gordon Smith, of Colfax, is the owner of Webfoot Ag Services, in Colfax and is on the Board of Directors for the Zone 2 Water System. Smith will be reappointed to serve a member nominated by the legislative delegation from Grant Parish, as required by statute. C. Todd Vallee, of Colfax, is currently self-employed and previously worked for Environmental Specialties International, Inc. in Baton Rouge. Vallee will be reappointed to serve a member nominated by the legislative delegation from Grant Parish, as required by statute. Richard Crain, of Colfax, is the parish manager for the Grant Parish Police Jury and the President of the Grant Parish Planning Commission. Crain will be reappointed to serve a member nominated by the legislative delegation from Grant Parish, as required by statute. ### |
