Mar 09, 2013 BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced appointments to the Louisiana State Mineral Board. The Louisiana State Mineral Board is the state body with the authority to lease state property for the development and production of minerals, oil, and gas. The board consists of eleven members, nine of whom are appointed by the governor. The board is also comprised of the Governor and the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources. Appointments to the Louisiana State Mineral Board: Dan Brouillette, of Shavano Park, TX, is the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs & Government Relations for USAA. He previously was the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy from 2001 – 2003. Brouillette will be appointed to serve as a gubernatorial appointee, as required by statute. R.E. Miller, of Morgan City, is the Founder of Major Equipment and Remediation Services, Inc. Miller will be appointed to serve as a gubernatorial appointee, as required by statute. ### |
