BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Jeffrey Henderson to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board.
The Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board issues, administers, and revokes auction licenses and regulates licensed auctioneers.
According to statute, the board is composed of seven members, five of whom must be auctioneers that represent each of the five public service commission districts, and two are non-licensed “consumers” who are selected from the state at-large. According to statute, each member is appointed by the Governor and subject to senate confirmation.
Jeffrey Henderson, of Livingston, is the President of J.A.H. Enterprises, Inc. and a licensed auctioneer. Henderson will be appointed to serve as a representative of the 2nd Public Service Commission District, as required by statute.
