BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal appointed Kyle Plotkin as Assistant Chief of Staff. Plotkin will also continue to serve as Communications Director. As Assistant Chief of Staff and Communications Director, Plotkin will now oversee the Department of Boards and Commissions and the Scheduling Department.
Prior to the role of Communications Director, Plotkin served as Press Secretary since November 2008 for Governor Jindal. Before that role, Plotkin served as Deputy Communications Director on the John Kennedy for U.S. Senate campaign. Previously, Plotkin served as Senior Policy and Research Analyst for Governor Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential campaign, Policy Analyst for Governor Mitt Romney's Commonwealth Political Action Committee (PAC) and Research Assistant at Public Opinion Strategies. Plotkin has a bachelor's of arts in political science and American studies from the University of Miami (FL).
