Advisory: Gov. Edwards to Hold COVID-19 Media Briefing on April 9

BATON ROUGE – Tomorrow, April 9, Gov. John Bel Edwards will hold a media briefing about Louisiana’s response to COVID-19. As of Wednesday, April 8, there were 17,030 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana, with 652 deaths.

Note: Louisiana State Police is conducting drive through temperature checks to enter the Public Safety Compound. Please allow additional time to enter the facility. All entering GOHSEP also will be tested for fever. 

As we work to maintain social distancing during the briefings for the health and safety of everyone, please note that Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) will provide pool coverage, and all television stations should use the satellite coordinates listed below. Radio stations can access audio from the LPB channel in their market. Stations are allowed to have one reporter in the GOHSEP media room, however we ask that you limit your attendance. Any additional cameras can only be set up outside for live-shots.
