Requests must be submitted at least 45 days in advance and no earlier than 90 days before the recognized date. No official statement will be proclaimed more than 45 days in advance. Official statements are not automatically renewed and must be requested on an annual basis. Official Statements will not be issued to promote fundraising. Official Statements are not sent to out-of-state individuals or organizations.
An official statement/certificate of acknowledgement is a document recognizing a special event or milestone which includes:

- Eagle Scout Award
- Girl Scout Honor
- Retirement
- Reunion
- Wedding Anniversary
- Community Event, Celebration or Festival
Due to the volume of requests, we will give priority to current Louisiana residents.
