The Louisiana Governor's Mansion
Welcome
To the Official Website of the Louisiana Governor's Mansion

We are tremendously blessed to have the opportunity to serve as your Governor and First Lady. One of the many responsibilities of this office is the maintenance and upkeep of the Mansion and we do not take this duty lightly. The Governor’s Mansion is not our home -- it belongs to the people of the State of Louisiana. It is your home. The Governor and I are simply fortunate enough to live here during our time of service. As First Lady, it is my mission to give the people of Louisiana the home they deserve. I am constantly finding new ways we can restore the Mansion to the vision former Governor Jimmie Davis had for this historic building when he commissioned it more than fifty years ago.

This will be a home that represents our culture and our heritage. This will be a home that celebrates our resilience and our communities. This will be a home that is as welcoming as the people it represents.

The Governor’s Mansion is not only where our family wakes up every morning and where we say our prayers every night; it is a home where every Louisianan can be welcomed for a visit.

Welcome to your home,

Governor John Bel and First Lady Donna Edwards
