BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.

Gov. Edwards announced the following appointments:

Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission

Donna Shetler Corley, of Crowley, was reappointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Ms. Corley is the President of Shetler Corley Motors LTD and will serve as a representative of the 7th Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Eric R. Lane, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Lane is the owner of Gerry Lane Chevy and will serve as a representative of the 3rd Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Keith M. Marcotte, of Shreveport, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Marcotte is the Vice President of Morgan Buick GMC Shreveport, Morgan Buick GMC, Inc., Bossier, and Mike Morgan Hyundai, LLC. He will serve as a representative of the 5th Motor Vehicle Commission District and as a member primarily engaged in the business of heavy truck sales.

Maurice C. Guidry, of Cut Off, was reappointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Guidry is a Dealer at Golden Motors LLC and will serve as a representative of the 8th Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Keith P. Hightower, of Shreveport, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Hightower is the Vice President of Holmes Auto Group and will serve as a representative of the 5th Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Raymond J. “Ray” Brandt, of Metairie, was reappointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Brandt is the CEO of Ray Brandt Auto Group and will serve as the Chairman of the Commission.

Harold H. “Bubba” Perrilloux, of Hammond, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Perrilloux is the owner and general manager of Boat City USA. He will serve as a representative of the 2nd Motor Vehicle Commission District and a member primarily engaged in the business of marine product sales.

David M. Mann, of Lafayette, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Mann is the President of DW Vehicle Leasing. He will serve as a representative of the 8th Motor Vehicle Commission District and a member primarily engaged in the business of lease or rental.

Allen O. Krake, of Madisonville, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Krake is the President of Supreme Automotive Group and will serve as a representative of the 1st Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Terryl J. Fontenot, of Ville Platte, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Fontenot is the President of T&J Ford Inc. He will serve as a representative of the 7th Motor Vehicle Commission District.

Stephen L. Guidry Jr., of Springfield, was appointed to the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr. Guidry is the President of Dixie RV Superstores. He will serve as a representative of the 3rd Motor Vehicle Commission District and a member primarily engaged in sales and finance.

 

Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors

Maurice Southall, of Napoleonville, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. Mr. Southall is a licensed embalmer and an owner of Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Southall will serve as a representative of Embalmer and Funeral Director District D.

 

Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board

Jeffrey A. Henderson, of Livingston, was reappointed to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board. Mr. Henderson is a licensed auctioneer and the President of Henderson Auctions. He will serve as the representative of the 2nd Public Service Commission District.

Jacob Brown, of Eunice, was appointed to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board. Mr. Brown is a licensed auctioneer and the owner and President of Unity Country-Brown’s Auction Company. He will serve as the representative of the 4th Public Service Commission District.

James M. Sims, of Farmerville, was reappointed to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board. Mr. Sims is a licensed auctioneer and a Sign Operation Project Manager at Atwood Fence Co., Inc. He will serve as the representative of the 5th Public Service Commission District.

Terrence D. Lockett, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board. Mr. Lockett is the Principal of Axis Strategies, LLC, and will serve as an at-large consumer member of the Board.

 

State Board of Commerce and Industry

Woodrow Wilson Jr., Ph.D., of Shreveport, was appointed to the State Board of Commerce and Industry. Dr. Wilson is the CEO and Parish Administrator of Caddo Parish.

 

Acadiana Area Human Services District

David J. Merrill, of New Iberia, was appointed to the Acadiana Area Human Services District. Mr. Merrill is a New Iberia City Councilman, the Assistant Sales Manager of Musson Patout and an actively involved mentor with the Buddies Program.

 

Terrebonne Levee and Drainage District

Leward P. “Sou” Henry, of Chauvin, was reappointed to the Terrebonne Levee and Drainage District. Mr. Henry is retired and a Veteran of Korea. He was nominated by members of Veterans organizations within Terrebonne Parish, as required by statute.

 

Caddo Levee District

Willie L. Walker, of Gilliam, was reappointed to the Caddo Levee District. Mr. Walker is the CEO of WCOC. As required by statute, Mr. Walker was nominated by the legislators representing districts within the Caddo Levee District.

 

State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana

Desireé Honoré Thomas, of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana. Ms. Thomas is Assistant Commissioner of Statewide Services for the Division of Administration and was nominated by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, as required by statute.

Grady R. Hazel, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana. Mr. Hazel is the owner of Grady R. Hazel, CPA and was nominated by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, as required by statute.

Nicholas J. Langley, of Lake Charles, was appointed to the State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana. Mr. Langley is a CPA at Langley, Williams & Co., LLC, and was nominated by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, as required by statute.

 

Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology

Mella B. Brown, of Shreveport, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Ms. Brown is the owner and a stylist at Beauties Hair Salon. She will serve as the representative of the 4th Congressional District.

Ashley M. Ferguson, of Ethel, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Ms. Ferguson is an owner and managing partner at Sacha Cosmetics of Louisiana. She will serve as an at-large member.

Melinda L. Williams, of Lake Charles, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Ms. Williams is the owner and a stylist at The Ritz, Inc. She will serve as the representative of the 3rd Congressional District.

Eliza Jill Hebert, of Breaux Bridge, was reappointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Ms. Hebert is the owner of Jill Hair’em. She will serve as an at-large member.

Edwin H. Neill III, of Hammond, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Mr. Neill is an attorney and the President of Neill Corporation. He will serve as the representative of the 1st Congressional District.

James R. Williams, of New Orleans, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Rev. Williams is the Owner of Stevenson Academy of Hair Design and will serve as the representative of the 2nd Congressional District.

 

Red River Waterway Commission

James F. Maxey, of Natchitoches, was reappointed to the Red River Waterway Commission. Mr. Maxey is a retired farmer and will serve as an at-large member of the Board.

William A. Owens, of Alexandria, was reappointed to the Red River Waterway Commission. Mr. Owens is the owner of Owens Financial Center and will serve as an at-large member of the Board.
