BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.

Gov. Edwards announced the following appointments:

State Police Commission

Eulis Simien Jr., of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the State Police Commission. Mr. Simien is an attorney and partner with Simien & Simien, LLC. He will serve as the representative of the 6th Congressional District.

Jared J. “Jay” Caruso-Riecke, of Covington, was appointed to the State Police Commission. Mr. Caruso-Riecke is the CEO of SECO Group LLC. He will serve as the representative of the 1st Congressional District.

 

St. Tammany Levee, Drainage, and Conservation District

Katelyn Costanza, of Covington, was appointed to the St. Tammany Levee, Drainage, and Conservation District. Ms. Costanza is the principal and owner of CE Hydro, LLC. As required by statute, Ms. Costanza was nominated by the St. Tammany Parish President and Council.

Tara I. Hunter, of Slidell, was appointed to the St. Tammany Levee, Drainage, and Conservation District. Ms. Hunter is a planning and building safety director with the City of Slidell. She was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district within the St. Tammany Levee, Drainage, and Conservation District, as required by statute.

Kelly J. McHugh, of Madisonville, was appointed to the St. Tammany Levee, Drainage, and Conservation District. Mr. McHugh is the President of Kelly McHugh & Associates. As required by statute, Mr. McHugh was nominated by the St. Tammany Parish President and Council.

 

Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission

Troy S. LeBoeuf, of Donaldsonville, was appointed to the Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission. Mr. LeBoeuf works in hospital sales with Merck Pharmaceuticals and will serve as a representative of Ascension Parish. As required by statute, Mr. LeBoeuf was nominated by a legislator representing Ascension Parish.

 

Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists

Thomas C. Klekamp, of Mandeville, was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists. Mr. Klekamp is a retired and consultant geologist and will serve as a representative of the 1st Congressional District. As required by statute, Mr. Klekamp was nominated by the New Orleans Geological Society.

 

Louisiana State Board of Nursing

Tavell L. Kindall, Ph.D., of Monroe, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Dr. Kindall is a nurse practitioner with Greater Ouachita Coalition Providing AIDS Resources and Education. Dr. Kindall will serve as the advanced practice registered nurse and was nominated by the Louisiana State Nurses Association, as required by statute.

 

North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District

Joni B. Tuck, of Thibodaux, was appointed to the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District. Ms. Tuck is a grants administrator with the Greater Lafourche Port Commission. As required by statute, Ms. Tuck was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district located within the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District.

Kenney P. Matherne, of Lockport, was reappointed to the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District. Mr. Matherne is a designer and modeler for John Deere Thibodaux. As required by statute, Mr. Matherne was nominated by the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Lockport.

 

Red River, Atchafalaya, and Bayou Boeuf Levee District

Andrew C. Leon, of Melville, was appointed to the Red River, Atchafalaya, and Bayou Boeuf Levee District. Mr. Leon is a retired teacher and principal with the St. Landry Parish School Board and will serve as the representative of St. Landry Parish. As required by statute, Mr. Leon was nominated by a legislator representing St. Landry Parish.

Christopher J. Roy Jr., of Alexandria, was reappointed to the Red River, Atchafalaya, and Bayou Boeuf Levee District. Mr. Roy is an attorney and the owner of Chris J. Roy Jr., APLC. Mr. Roy will continue to serve as the representative of Rapides Parish. As required by statute, Mr. Roy was nominated by a legislator representing Rapides Parish.

Keith W. Lacombe, of Marksville, was reappointed to the Red River, Atchafalaya, and Bayou Boeuf Levee District. Mr. Lacombe is the owner of Keith Lacombe Farms and a co-owner of Lacombe Timber. He will continue to serve as the representative of Avoyelles Parish. As required by statute, Mr. Lacombe was nominated by a legislator representing Avoyelles Parish.
