BATON ROUGE - Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.

Gov. Edwards announced the following appointments:

Louisiana Emergency Response Network Board

Gerald A. Cvitanovich, M.D., of Metairie, was appointed to the Louisiana Emergency Response Network Board. Dr. Cvitanovich is the chief medical officer of MHM Urgent Care. He was nominated by, and will serve as the representative of, the Louisiana State Coroner’s Association.

William W. Lunn, M.D., of New Orleans, was appointed to the Louisiana Emergency Response Network Board. Dr. Lunn is the CEO and president of Tulane University Hospital and Clinic. He was nominated by, and will serve as the representative of, the Tulane University Health Sciences Center.

 

Capital Area Human Services District

Virginia M. Pearson, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Capital Area Human Services District. Ms. Pearson is the owner of Pearson and Associates. She is the former Executive Director of the Greater Baton Rouge Health Forum.

 

Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission

Robert J. “Bobby” Samanie III, of Meraux, was appointed to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission. Mr. Samanie is the vice president of Lafitte Frozen Foods Corp. and will serve as a representative of the commercial fishing and fur industry.

Alfred R. “Al” Sunseri, of New Orleans, was appointed to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission. Mr. Sunseri is the president of P & J Oyster Company and will serve as a representative of the commercial fishing and fur industry.

 

Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts

Hollis Conway, of Monroe, was appointed to the board of commissioners for the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. Mr. Conway is a multi-area director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

 

Capital Area Groundwater Conservation District

Julius C. Metz, of St. Francisville, was reappointed to the Capital Area Groundwater Conservation District. Mr. Metz is the utilities maintenance superintendent with the West Feliciana Parish Council. As required by statute, he was nominated by, and will serve as a representative of, West Feliciana Parish.

 

Governor's Advisory Council on Disability Affairs

Laura L. Brackin, Ph.D., of Prairieville, was appointed to the Governor's Advisory Council on Disability Affairs. Dr. Brackin is the president and CEO of Brackin & Associates.

 

Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology

Deidre D. Delpit, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. Ms. Delpit is a licensed cosmetologist and barber. She will serve as an at-large representative on the board.

 

Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board

Charles G. Coyle III, of Shreveport, was appointed to the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board. Mr. Coyle is a co-owner of Coyle Engineering Co., Inc. and is a licensed professional land surveyor. As required by statute, Mr. Coyle was nominated by the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors.

 

Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission

Robert M. “Bob” Kelly, of Zachary, was appointed to the Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission. Mr. Kelly is a maintenance mechanic with ExxonMobil Chemical Company. As required by statute, he was nominated by the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation and will serve as its representative from the east bank of the Mississippi River.

 

Kenner Naval Museum Commission

David J. Vicknair, of Kenner, was appointed to the Kenner Naval Museum Commission. Mr. Vicknair is a retired general contractor and a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Army. Mr. Vicknair will serve as a representative from Kenner.

 

Louisiana Economic Development Corporation

Willie M. “Will” Campbell Jr., of Baker, was appointed to the Louisiana Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Campbell is an SBA manager and vice president at Capital One. As required by statute, Mr. Campbell was nominated by the Louisiana Bankers Association and will serve as its representative.
