On Thursday, May 4, the Louisiana House of Representatives passed HB1 (state budget) with cuts that would decimate critical state services, including many programs and services that directly and indirectly affect people with disabilities. The budget will now go through the legislative process in the Senate. Effective collective advocacy will be key to avoiding devastating cuts.
