The Office of Governor John Bel Edwards released a series of reports prepared by cabinet and cabinet-equivalent agencies giving an overview of their most significant accomplishments under Governor Edwards from January 2016 to late 2023.

The reports—titled “Challenges Met, Progress Delivered”—celebrate and acknowledge the extraordinary work done by public servants to move Louisiana forward in the face of unprecedented challenges.

“In my first inaugural address, I promised that we would work every day to make progress on our key priorities, and I told the people of Louisiana that ‘there isn’t a challenge we won’t meet,’” said Governor John Bel Edwards. “I don’t think anyone knew just how many challenges we would face, but we have met every single one. I am immensely proud that despite those challenges, by almost every available metric Louisiana is much better off today than we were eight years ago. The hardworking public servants at our state agencies deserve tremendous credit, and these reports will ensure that Louisianans today and in the future can learn about what the cabinet agencies have done for them in my time as governor.”
