You are invited to attend a Swim Safe Training for children and adults with disabilities and their family. We know water is everywhere so we are doing a training focusing on helping children and adults with disabilities learn what to do and not do around pools.

The Swim Safe Training will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Families Helping Families of SWLA, 2927 Hodges Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.

Our guest speaker will be Rene Fontenot , Ward 3 Aquatic Director. Topics covered in the training are:
• Pool safety
• Basic rules of swimming
• Is it safe to swim alone?
• Lifeguards
• Dry Drowning
• Swimming pools vs. Open waters
