***ONLY 100 SEATS*** After 5 attire. The Statewide Independent Living Council Inclusion Gala is for individuals with and without disabilities. Our organization’s mission is to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals with disabilities, facilitating integration and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of American society. Louisiana’s IL Partners promote a philosophy of Independent Living, including consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, and equal access, and individual and system advocacy. The Statewide Independent Living Council Inclusion Gala will be held in Lafayette on August 10th and is open to adults with disabilities and anyone else who has a connection with the disability population. The gala will be an opportunity to recognize important people who have carried on the Independent Living philosophy in the community.
