DEVELOPING PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS OF STUDENTS WITH SIGNIFICANT DISABILITIES
We would like to invite you to take part in a focus group on January 30, at 10:30 at the Norman Mayer Library 3001 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans. The topic of the focus group centers around developing a preparation program for teachers of students with autism, other health impairments, significant intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. The focus group should last no longer than one hour.
The focus group will provide an opportunity for you to discuss your past and present experiences with education programs for students with significant disabilities. In particular, we would like to hear
• Suggested areas for improvement.
• Topics that teacher preparation programs should include.
Your views will be used to help us develop a teacher certification program in the area of significant disabilities.
