Families Helping Families Region 7 will be hosting "The No Limits…No Boundaries Advocacy and Inclusion Conference" on April 19, 2018 at Sam’s Town Casino Ballroom. Our special guest speaker will be Mr. Dan Habib.

Dan Habib is the creator of the award-winning documentary films Including Samuel which is about his son Samuel who has a disability, Who Cares About Kelsey?, Restraint and Seclusion: Hear Our Stories, and many other short films on disability-related topics.

Dan Habib is a filmmaker at the University of New Hampshire's Institute on Disability. Including Samuel was broadcast nationally on public television stations in the fall of 2009, and Who Cares About Kelsey? aired on public television in the fall of 2013. Both films were nominated for Emmy awards. Including Samuel has been translated into 17 languages and is used as a teaching tool worldwide. In 2014, Habib was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities—a committee that promotes policies and initiatives that support independence and lifelong inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Dan Habib Seminars and Conferences provide its audiences with information needed to become effective advocates for children and adults with disabilities. Information presented, reflect current developments with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and recent cases.

This conference is designed to meet the needs of parents, advocates, and other professionals who have a vested interest in meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Although the conference does not focus on a specific disability, it will focus on inclusion, rights and responsibilities, and an introduction to tactics and strategies for effective advocacy.
