State of Emergency- Severe Storms and Tornadoes- April 10, 2024

Following his visit to some of the hardest hit areas, Governor Jeff Landry signed an emergency declaration for the severe storms and tornadoes that took place on April 10.

Today, Governor Jeff Landry traveled to West Feliciana and St. Tammany parishes to survey damage from the tornadoes, hurricane force winds, hail, and flooding that affected our state last Wednesday.

Today, Governor Jeff Landry announced new appointments to serve on the Ascension-St. James Airport and Transportation Authority, Drug Policy Board, Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice, Parish Boards of Election Supervisors, Pilotage Fee Commission, State Board of Commerce and Industry.
