Victims Advocacy

The Governor’s Office for Victims Advocacy puts crime victims first, and advocates for the promotion and protection of constitutional and statutory rights of crime victims in Louisiana. The Office for Victims Advocacy seeks to assist victims of crime in Louisiana by providing resources, and to ensure that victims of crime become an integral part of the criminal justice system.

We fight to protect their rights, make their voices heard, and ensure they’re at the heart of Louisiana’s justice system. Victims deserve support, respect, and advocacy; and our goal is to make that happen.
