Baton Rouge, LA- Today, Governor Jeff Landry announced the appointment of Blaise Zuschlag to the LSU Board of Supervisors. Blaise will finish the remainder of his father’s term, Richard Zuschlag, who passed away in June.
“Richard Zuschlag lived a life dedicated to serving his state. From starting Acadian Companies to his many philanthropic and community service endeavors, everything Richard touched turned to success. That is why I can think of no better person to continue his legacy on the LSU Board of Supervisors than his son, Blaise,” said Governor Jeff Landry. “I am excited to see the ingenuity and leadership Blaise will bring to the board.”

Background:
Blaise Zuschlag is the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Acadian Companies. In this role he governs all corporate administrative, financial, and operational activities, while also playing an integral role in strategic initiatives including acquisitions, innovation, and governmental relations. Blaise joined Acadian Companies in February 2013 and has held roles as a Business Analyst, Director of Administration, and Chief of Staff. Prior to Acadian, he served as Advisor for JP Morgan Chase’s Private Bank. 
A native of Lafayette, LA, Blaise earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University and an International MBA from Tulane University. He is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class 24 and serves on numerous local nonprofit boards. Outside of his day-to-day work, he also plays a pivotal role in the management of the Zuschlag Family Foundation. 
Blaise resides in Lafayette, LA with his wife Monica, and his three kids, Rex, Joe Read, and Adley.
